Interesting that it states Oblivion as 4.6g, I don't remember any +G on that ride.

Don't know about the 4G, but get yourself a litre sportsbike, you can do the 0-60 bit every day of the week then if you want to.

I thought +G is the one that pushes you into the seat, and -G is what lifts you out of it. Oblivion plummets down a vertical track, pushing you into the seat, so surely that's positive G...

That's the same launch performance as the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disneyland Florida.... Best rush I've ever had... no fear (like oblivion) or massive adrenalyn rush (which deadends every other sensation) just pure unadulterated squash into the back of the seat.... awesome.....

I'm going back to Florida in 18 months basically so I can go on that 1 ride again!!!!

The areosmith rock 'n' roll coaster is good...

The launch is quite breath taking, I went to euro Dis last May and went on that ride about 8 times, as it was quiet and I had a VIP fast fast I was going on it almost back to back, think I have numbed my adrenilin gland with that kind of exposure...

Just came back from a second trip last week, and to be honest I found all the "white knuckle" rides there a bit limp even the rock'n'roll one, the launch is a kick in the back acceleration but beyond that there is not real onslaught to the senses, thunder mountain is so slow and limp, and the indiana jones ride was a waste of queuing time, one moderate drop and a vertical loop... not my idea of scary????

Must make a trip to Alton towers to test my self out as I think that is more of a "white knuckle" theme park, although I have been spoilt a bit by the VIP fast pass, do AT do a similar system??? (Not talking virtual queuing, just have a pass that fast tracks all the rides?????)

Like you say though, you drop down a hole, you're not pushed down. Maybe it's the curve at the bottom of the drop??

Positive adds weight to your body, and negative reduces the weight of it, IIRC of course.
Not sure what this had to do with any matter.

I went on Rita last saturday, they were testing it with Joe Public on for a few hours. 0-60 in 2.8, I think I read somewhere - awesome.

the aerosmith coaster was amazing...

that first jerk is 0-60 in 3.0 or 2.9 seconds... i don't remember exactly how quick it was, what i can say is that it was faster than any stock car, enzo, maclaren, etc...

I'm headed back next month... its only a 3 hour drive for me tho

rita looks sick though, as does nemesis, i've never been on either though, but if its better than rock'n'roller coaster, it's gonna be crazy

kammy your right,

+'ve G adds weight ie pulling up out of a dive in a plane

-'ve G makes you feel lighter ie going over a humpback bridge quickly

Yes, it's exactly the transition out of the vertical drop that creates the positive G. Ever wondered why the seats on Oblivion are reclined more than usual on a rollerocaster? It's to help make the higher G forces more comfortable.

Rita looks good, but it was a replacement for the originally planned wooden coaster with a 200ft drop off he valley that the cable car traverses. This was panned because of noise pollution complaints from a local resident who, a few weeks later, was sued by neighbours for..............yep, you've guessed it: noise pollution!!

4.7g

Nowhere near that, or you'd need a full medical and g-pants.

Rule of thumb, 0-100mph in 4 secs is 1g.

4.7G is peanuts, I had to put up with 6 to 7 at work regularly, without a G suit!
