For sale: One vote in the next general election. Vote is in a marginal consituency (between Labour and Conservative).


I'm planning to stick this up on e-bay and see how much the jokers bid it upto.

However I'm quite serious if someone pays me I'll vote for whoever they choose.
This is because I would normally vote Labour and I'm not overly enamoured of them due to their leaders delusions of godhood and the bloody farce we're involved with in Iraq. I can't however bring myself to vote freely for the scumbag tories, thus my dillema.

Anyone know what a vote is actually worth in monetary terms in a marginal?
I have my own reserve value in mind. If nobody bids on it then I'll be forced to go and vote for the party of tradition.

Just vote Tory. If they get in you'll be better of than any quck eBay buck.

....that is unless of course you're either an immigrant, poor, a chav or disabled. In which case vote for Labour.

There is probably some ancient law of 1643 or whatever which makes paying someone to vote for you illegal so it could be the Tower.

Yup, it's illegal to sell your vote. Mind you as long as hardly anyone knows then the authorities will never find out.

I had no idea it was illegal to sell one's vote. Seems a bit odd as it's meant to be MY vote. I'd imagined I could do with it what I will.

So much for democracy, in a real democracy an individual would be allowed to do what they chose with it.

Still I'm quite happy to exchange my vote for humiliation, whichever party or person representing said party does me an MPEG of them singing "Row your boat" in the style of the nutcase from "Dirty Harry" wins it.

I wouldn't vote tory of my own free will. I have too much self respect.

No but I've never enjoyed living in a police state under our own domestic governments. I hardly think it matters who is doing the buttfcuking.
