Love Will Tear Us Apart - Honey Root
Has anyone else heard this cover??
Heard it again this morning and it really is a beautiful rendition a real grower, totally different to the original you can actually hear the lyrics properly!!, vocals by Glen Gregory (Heaven 17) he almost sounds like Lou Reed on this slowed up piano driven version.
Worth a listen, probably more than once though

Strange thing about Joy Division for me was that the production on "Unknown Pleasures" was fantastic- superbly eerie - but they always maintained that the drab sound of "Closer" was more what they were aiming for.

Martin Hannett - transformed them from indie drab to goth heroes. At least that's what Hooky reckons, and I guess he'd know.
Mind you, without the songs, Mad-Eye Curtis, and *that* bass sound, they wouldn't have got anywhere.
