Deep scratch removal.
Fiance's car got keyed last w/e. (know who done it but can't prove it ) anyway, general opinion is that whole boot needs to be resprayed (Pug hatchback). But...... before we go down that route I wanna have a go myself, after all it can't be made any worse.
Scratch has gone through to bear metal, so do a get a touch up stick, overload the scratch til the paint is higher than the factory finish, leave it to 'cure' then flat it with wet&dry, compound it then polish it up ??? Would this be the general way about it. I know it may sound mad, but at the end of the day it's gotta be resprayed according to the paint shops, so I may as well have a go and see if I can get it to an acceptable condition.
Any ideas ???
Cheers guys. By the way have tried the local "chips away" kinda guys and they fail to turn up to look at it !!
