Layercake
Any good?
Worth buying?
Get the impression it may appeal to me, as I like lockstock, ****** etc.

Didn't think it was great to be honest. Not in Lock Stock's league definately.

Didn't hear good things about it but I loved lock stock and ****** so I'll wait to hear a few more views before I watch it. Maybe it wasn't my mates thing.

I've got Lock Stock and ******, two of my favourite all time movies, I've seen Layercake, but I wouldn't buy it to add to my collection.
Each to their own though.

Have read the book and it's certainly a great read. Not seen the film yet as it's not out here yet
If it's any way as good as the book then it'll be a little cracker. I have seen the trailers for it, and it is a Matthew Vaughan thing, so will be a little lock stock like, probably more of the feel of 'Mean Machine' thank lock sock though.

Best film of 2004 IMHO! It is a bit Lock Stock but 'cooler' and with some great black humour...

just finished watching it.
Not really to be compared to LS2SB or ****** imo. A lot darker and a bit more intelligent.
Very good movie by all accounts.

I loved it, and IMO its better than Lock Stock or ******.
Gets a 7.0 rating on IMDB which is very respectable.

Very good film, very different from Lock Stock and ******. Layer Cake is played far more seriously.

Definatly one of the best britsh films of recent years. Layer Cake is alot sharper and smarter than Lock Stock, ****** et al. Very original too not your average East End ganster flick. The performances are brilliant, not your usual mocking of southerners which is the norm for these type of films. Its also got a cracking soundtrack!
I gave it 10/10 on IMDB.

As above, it flies over the heads of Lock Stock and ****** - both of which i love. Layer Cake appeals in a completely different way, it was certainly my film of 2004. I got it on Monday and had forgotten how good the sound track was. She Sells Sanctuary to kick off.
