You can pay more tax if you want to

I won't be

Funny though, the high earners are the ones that should contribute the most in tax. But they are also the ones that evade it the most too. nudge

Taxes have been raised, we do pay more but the services haven't got any better.

Instead they waste money on the Dome, trying to get the Olympics here in 2012. Tourists come here regardless, so why waste money on tat people aren't interested in.

Not to mention the huge IMF loan Gordon has taken on board, where is that money going.
How much interest is that going to cost the UK????

The Conservatives were on the way to having the last Labour IMF bill repaid when they lost the election. So what does Labour do, oh yes, borrow another huge sum. I would have thought Labour would have learned from the last time.

I'm sure you've only posted this poll to annoy people. If Tony and Gordon were so good at managing the countries affairs and financial situation then surely the NHS should be in amazing shape.......rather than hospitals having to go fundraising so they can buy equipment.
Afterall, Tony said to trust him the last time, he flashed that smile and people believed him, believed that he would fix the NHS, he hasn't. SO why should people believe this time??? He's had almost 10 years to do it. I guess he just forgot. Ooops, I forgot, he was more interested in playing war games with GWB.

He conviently forgets that he got upset when the Torries gave him Red eyes on the poster, said he wanted to stop sleaze, has he ****, his party is covered init. Then he tries to put out anti-sematic posters of M Howard. These posters comming from the man who said he wanted to stop personal attacks and sleaze.

And, no, I don't think they would want to pay extra ....... they are too happy crying about it!

Without wanting to start WW3, if our taxes were allocated EFFICIENTLY and we eliminated the scrounging, undeserving and unnecesary spending going on in this country we wouldnt have to pay more taxes. OK, it has always gone on but that is no reason why it should continue to.

But with regards to the original question, no i wouldnt pay. Not yet anyway, as im young fit and healthy. However, ask me in a few years and i may have a different answer.

You're right ..... sadly, it costs £10 to save £7 in the Public Services!!

So, the waste needs to be factored in ....... we still need more money for the NHS - the question is, would you be happy to pay MORE!?

A mere drop in the ocean considering the amount of people live in the UK. Alot of those extra's would come from more efficient management and quite probably our medical profession working above and beyond duty. For them I gratefull off.

Don't start me statistics. Governments love manipulating those. Unemployment is down according to Tony. Ahh, but wait, we now have Jobseekers allowance, all those on JSA aren't mentioned on the unemployment statistics. Convienient eh.

Screw this it's late I'm going to bed.

You missed one that says - I want to pay loads of taxes, but I want the NHS to fall to pieces, along with the CSA, DFP, DLD, DRD, etc etc. I would like my taxes to be wasted on ineffectual middle management that produce figures as dictated by TB Liar, but contribute nothing to the actual service. That's why I vote Labia

I would not give this government the steam off my pi$$, let alone pay them any extra money to improve any public services.
All they do is squander the enourmous amount of money that they already steal off us on bogus civil servant jobs, putting ' managers' into hospitals, rather than putting nurses and doctors into hospitals, cutting armed forces funding, whilst expecting them to fight their war started on false information, tying the arms of our police force by making them spend more time filling out forms instead of filling in criminals and lastly, by choking the countries businesses and laws with red tape instead of making things easier, as they promised they would do when they came into power.

Instead of more money, they should try to spend wisely.
If I ran my business like these fu#ker$ run the country, I would be out of business tomorrow and probably be in court on fraud charges.

Here comes PSL again to try and get a record thread going. It really is the only reason he comes up with all this rubbish.

Interesting how he has been modifying his posts recently to try to fit in with the fact that NL's major failures are obviously realised by the electorate and that it is beginning to show now.

He now obviously acknowledges that NL have got huge tax rises of one kind or another in the pipeline. The IMF is quoted as saying that this country's financial affairs over the last 5 years have been failing and the borrowing by NL is going to come home to roost soon. Brown is forecast to use a large portion of that borrowed money to artificially hold the Council Tax rises down this time just before the election but just wait until next time though! It all has to be repaid though.

It has also become obvious that NL are useless at any real form of effective administration. They say they are throwing vast sums of money towards the NHS, but they are not ensuring that what they hand out is being used effectively. They more that anyone have gone such a long way to upholding Parkinson's Law with ever more employment of civil servants and "advisors" which has increased the costs so much to the taxpayer over the years. And their expenses have been astronomical.

The money handed to the NHS does not seem to be reaching the sharp end, where is it going then?

I should back off PSL and find a more edifying subject if I was you, You are making yourself look silly with all this claptrap.

Even the questions in your poll are typical NL in that they are posed in an effort to force the answer that you want!

Well, we are now paying more, as they have just raised prescription charges by 10.p.
OK, its only 10 pence, but add that to spiraling charges for this, that and the bloody other, and we are now even more out of pocket.
