Default Trackday for 21st

Hi All

It's my 21st in just over a month and I'm hoping to do a trackday
I quite fancy one of these that offer time in an STi, Elise and 911 or similar, sound good?

I have been on track in my own Impreza GL with the ImprezaSport.net crowd; but I'd like to drive something quicker and not mine this time. Plus it's fair to say I could do with some tuition, I'd really like to learn something for every day driving as well as track technique.

Preferably not more than an hour or two from Sheffield, no more than £300.

I've seen quite a few companies offering the STi, Elise, 996 and F355 at Bruntingthorpe; that seems to meet my requirements but ~4 laps in each car doesn't seem much for £250. Any views?

Any other suggestions/recommendations?

Cheers,

Ben

Might be worth checking out the real racing tracks, I'm sure that most of them do track days. Bound to be somewhere not too far, such as Mallory Park which does not take too many laps to learn so that you can get maximum enjyment out of the day. Much more fun than a track marked out with cones on a runway.

Cheers Les, yep I think I'd much rather a real track. I'll look into it further.

Any more recommendations out there?

I went with these guys for my 30th. Not on a proper track though. It was on a disused airfield. Good day though.

No. It was at Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. Long straight airfield. Good for blasting up and down but not so good if you want a real drive of the cars.

Coming back to this idea; only a couple of weeks before my birthday but it'll have to wait til after my exams in June now prob.

This with Vision Motorsport looks good. 355, Impreza, Elise, RS4, 996 and some rallying in a 106 at Elvington. I know this is an airfield too but the 'track' looks quite tasty from an aerial shot. Anyone driven there? Is that the course you did Gaz?

Just how pricey are Palmer Sport? Their website seems to neglect to mention the price which seems ominous!
