Who are these muppets who email you when your car is in autotrader!

I made the mistake of adding my email address to my advert so I now get emails saying things such as this.

"Hello sir, I would like this car much for my wife please let me know your last price and I can by cheque"

Ha ha ha fools, no way am I even entertaining the thought of replying to this let alone considering selling a car to some clown who wants to pay by a cheque without even seeing it. If that's not a scam they can have next years salary as well as the car!

Has anyone actually had a serious enquiry by email or is it all dreamers and scammers, surely if you want to buy a car you get on the phone!

sold all my cars by email and bought as well......in fact, given a car with no email and one with i'd make enquires via the emal one first.

Thinking about it I would possibly make preliminary enquiries myself by email. However I wouldn't offer a cheque and would actually ask some details. perhaps I'm being harsh though, so I hope for some genuine email enquiries soon!
