Any poker players here?
if you are.........i have Barrny Boatman of the Hendon Mob at my home game next week for a new TV show.....how cool is that!

We were the very first show so they used bits from our game in the credits of the main show now...........it was poor!
The prob with poker is that TV companies think they can film anyone playing poker and it will get viewers - and it doesnt. They gave NO thought to how it should work and it showed.
As for poker with Barney......he went home with less than he came with
My main hand with him was Omaha HiLo......me and him are left in by the turn. I have QQ for the high and a straight draw. I figure he has made a low allready as he was betting like mad. He raise me on the turn and i (with no low) had to decide if my QQ was good along with my straight draw. So i call.
river gives me the straight (and i suspect gives him the wheel)........sure enough barney flips his cards and says "well you played ok because i had nothing at the turn....unlucky for you i hit the nut low on the river" and he starts to take the pot "whoooo there.......i had you beat all the way with QQ and then made a higher straight on the river" so we split the pot.......then he starts saying (for the cameras) "it wasnt a great call by Tiggs because of yada yada yada" so i explain that actualy i had him beat at every stage and he was lucky to catch a card to split the pot....i had loads more outs than he did at every point. I then told him than the key to hilo was to avoid drawing to half the pot

no muppet......ours was the first show AND then became the credits as well I am the poker version of the girl on the windsurfer in the opening shots of Miami Vice!
