Another nostalgic music thread - The Alarm
After listening to the brilliant Green Day's 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' I heard so many Punk influences - I could pick out the early Clash, Angelic Upstarts, Cockney Rejects, Gen X and The Alarm. I'd forgotten about The Alarm, popped into the local record shop to see if they had any Alarm CD's and found a 2004 reunion CD/DVD. It's brilliant, just wish I'd known about the reunion concert - 68 Guns, The Stand, Where were you hiding when the storm broke, etc.
p.s. Green Day sound soooo not American in their music and vocals (lyrics a bit US) - for me this is probably the best album for years

Its funny that youve said this because after listening to American Idiot (album) recently, I was convinced that one song sounded SO like '68 Guns' I kept playing it to my girlfriend over and over..... she's too young to remember though.....
