Traffic light gran prix with a beemer
Possibly a bit sad but had a nice little traffic light rip with some bint in a 330d this morning. She got away quicker as I went for a granny start, didnt really want to hold some revs with a blitz on the back. Soon as 1st was finished was well past her.
Nothing like a little play like that now and again. Was a 40 limit and 'race' was over before the limit being surpassed.
P1 versus a 330d not much of a comparision I know, but it felt good as she obviously went for it.

And beating a (bint) woman too! You must be so proud.
Shame it's not all about power, but skill in driving which actually makes you better. Some people never learn.....

Erm whys everyone having a go????
No laws were broken, let the boy have some fun as everyone in a beemer seems to think we're fair game for them.
In fact most beemer drivers seem to think anything is fair game to try and race or just tailgate and intimidate out of the way.
Not that i condone street racing of course.

He forgot to mention that said bint was brushing her hair, putting on her make up, having a conversation on her hand held mobile and doing the ironing. No wonder she was slow into second gear

Unclebuck and Yoza, not taking any lectures from a pair of trolls like you. And clare, come and tell me the error of my ways at the next Beds meet, as I dont understand the crap youve just posted
Nothin wrong in a 1st gear thrash at all, no matter what it's against. A few years ago I got wasted by an empty hearse at the same lights in an impreza, didn't expect they wanted a race and was a bit taken aback
She quite clearly chose to use the outside lane and her intention was to pull ahead and get in front of me, fair game in my book no matter what the car is, .
Funniest Ive had also a good few years back is a 1.1 fiesta with some mullet hero wheel spinning his little shed, I didnt even bother pulling off fast

About as macho as poncing around in flip flops eh Yoza.
Oh BTW 0-60 in a 330d is 7.8, and through the gears will probably be faster than a uk standard impreza once rolling. What Imprezas do you both own BTW, I'm curious.

EVO has the 330D as taking 7.2s from 0-60. A scoob, driven like its stolen, will be a shade over 5 seconds if you muller the clutch by sidestepping at high revs.
Through the gears once rolling the 330D is "quite nippy" from the test drives I've had. I pick mine up on Thursday to replace the WRX , so I'll let you know what I think then

I drive a WRX01 you know that.
Dont under-estimate its power though, remember I have 3 foot spoiler lifters to help put the POWER down.

Whenever a bug eye wrx pulls up against me in Liverpool I'll let them go. No point in trying to beat something so far down the food chain to risk a slating from a flip flop shod self confessed HOMO

@ Yoza, now I know for certain he is a troll of the first water Yoza.
My STi Classic which was well tweaked would have left him for dead, especially through the bends!
He would not do that well off the lights against my M3 Evo either.

I was a scoob driver, and am very likely to be a BMW diesel driver come Thursday.
Should I be using the "my car's a scoob so my kn0b's bigger than yours, eat my dust you pooooof" attitude, or the "I'm in a BMW - advertised as the ultimate driving machine - and am getting significantly better mpg than you and have rock solid residuals so can 0wn the middle lane and your ***"?
I can see this being confusing for me
I still think that I'll be trying to convert people to diesels with the same fervency as a born again christian would look for conversions to their faith
And, yes, I will be thraping it off lights ... eat my sooty cloud :P etc

This kind of street racing in built up areas helps to give Subaru owners a bad image.
It's also perceived as very dangerous for other people.
