Panic attack!
Ok had one night before last, first time ever, think I woke up abruptly then felt dizzy and light headed absolutely convinced I was about to die, anyone had one? A completely unreal experience that I would not wish on *anyone*, read up about it so kinda feel better but be interested to know anyone else's experience.
Cheers

Yes went through 2 years of them following the break up of my last long term relationship...
The daqy after a night on the booze I was in a bar and after 1 drink collapsed all light headed and dizzy - it was like being in someone elses body looking out - the trauma made it worse and the first one lasted for two days without relent.
I was admitted to Whiston Hospital who couldnt find anything wroing - had an MRI scan, EEG scan and an ECG and still nothing.
In the end after many lenghty conversations with my doc who specialised in mental health problems she suggested it could be linked to depression and put me on a 6 month course of SSRI's called citalopram... All in all it took 2 years to shift them completely - and I guess they could come back...
Mine normally came in crowded places - I think because thats just were the first one struck...
Very traumatic, hard to diagnose, often underestimated by those who havent had a proper one - get the right literature from your GP - it will help...
If there's anything you want to ask about re this in more detail just pm me...

My cousin had them, turned out to be a mild form of Epilepsy, get checked out.
I find that laying off booze, reducing my activity level (Work) and doing some exercise do wonders for when I feel like that.
