Dont shoot the messenger...!
what sort of toss statement is that.
I had a ****** at work come to me with a problem/bad news, I started to think about it and as soon as my eyebrows started to tense he piped up with "Dont shoot the messenger, Im just doing my job".
I retort with a load of abuse (he's only a labourer, they like it anyway) and point out that he will cop the needle and that if he didnt like it he should **** off and get another job.
another statement that jarrs me is "now, dont take offence" or "Im not being funny"....
Grow some ***** FFS and take the consequences.
