I rang the local hospital, to see if the results of my op were back, and what they were..

nothing life threatening, just a simple loaded or blanks issue

get this... i have to wait for the consultant to tell me..

in a letter...

and that will be in about 2 weeks time

WTF all they have to say is clear or not clear..

why is it these people have to play god!!!

its not as if the op was done without consent, or the results could have unexpected consequences..

I tried to explain that i wanted to get going again, but as usual, they dont take the patients needs into consideration

Do the test yourself. All you need is a cheap microscope and a glass slide. Job done!

I suspect it's all about professional liability.
Said consultant is the person who has to interpret the result.

If someone less junior got it wrong, and you went out and got somebody preggers, would you be happy?

As you said yourself :
.....so leave the consultant to get on with more important issues Bet you wouldn't be happy if your testicular cancer result was held up because the consultant was off phoning some boy about his sperm count!
