Question Scrappy Racers - twin engined cars illegal ?

.. as above on Scrappy Racers at the weekend they said that twin engined cars are not legal - is this true - there are plenty of twin engined cars around I'm sure.

Twin engines is ok as long as it's driving the same axle. i.e. you can't have one engine for the front wheels and another for the rears.

Wasn't it because the rear engine was driving the front wheels and the front engine driving the rear wheels?

I wasn't aware of that rule either; it may be that a car with two engines won't pass SVA, but there's nothing against modifying it after the test and fitting the second engine. SVA tests are exceptionally picky - you've only got to have a button in the wrong part of the dash with edges sharper than a 5mm radius and you'll fail.
