Where would you run to...
Been thinking about a film I saw some time ago called the 25TH Hour with Ed Norton (Which is vastley better than the film with him in that I watched last night). For those that have not seen it spoiler alert,
he is a crim with 24 hours of freedom left and decides at the end of the film to take off for a new life. Where would you run to, if you wanted to vanish and never be found. I guess it would rule out tourist areas, so where and why would you go there?

That's a great film, saw it on Sky a few weeks ago. Did he actually run then - I thought he was day dreaming but didn't run in the end....?
To answer your question though I'd just run - Wynabago (sp?) + lots of cash + open road!
Max and Paddy style...

I was stuck in a rainy cabin in Mongolia and read The Firm. At the end to escape the law and the firm I think he gets on a boat and goes round all the carribean islands.
The rain continued. so I read The Pelican Brief. At the end she gets on a boat and goes round all the carribean islands.
IIRC.

I'm not telling where I'd go.... it would leave a paper trail straight to me. And the rate at which I am being criminalised by New Labour I may be needing my bolt hole sooner rather than later!!!!
The Costa del Crime and Rio will be filling up with British fugitives wanted for crimes such as speeding and not carrying a Blunkett Card!

I don't think that there are many places worth going to, that do not have some sort of extradidtion treaty in place with the UK. Probably just as well, otherwise serial Gatso bandits would flee in their droves!
Somewhere hot and in the southern hemisphere sounds good though

I saw this Film on Sky the other week too. Really enjoyed it. First decent picture about post 9/11 New York and it had a Springsteen track over the end credits too (the whole mileu was very "The Rising" IMHO). I thought the "running" was just a dream sequence as well though..
Watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid last night funnily enough, in which they have a similar dilemma!
Sorry, where would I go to? Maybe Russia..the whole place is so corrupt I'm sure I could buy a bit of peace and quiet (plus the totty is nice too).
