Why is it that when you buy an appliance to help them out with their jobs in the kitchen that they simply can't use them properly?
We have a dishwasher and I honestly mean this. She will fill it in such a way that it is full with a few cups, couple of plates and a saucepan.
Je despair!

Christ, man! Thank your lucky stars!
'Mine' considers it a flogging offence if I leave a sugar-cubed sized space free in the damned machine, and if I ever even consider moving the program to something other than 'lukewarm tree-friendly' I get a battleaxe into the skull!
They come in all flavours, Milamber - you may have a better one than you think!

Why are you men obssessed (is that spelt right?) with the way the dishwasher is loaded. My other half goes mad if I put a bowl in the wrong way round.

Top idea. Gonna get mine remapped tomorrow, increase the water pressure, high flow filter, de-calcify, big bore outlet piping...

I love the fact that they go to the trouble of putting an air freshener in the dishwasher then let the dog in!
This also proves my point, look at the way those plates at the back are stacked. Don't even get my started on the 2 solitary bowls at the front!!

An observation of mine, is that I'm the only person I know who puts all the same cutlery together, ie all the knives in 1 or 2 compartments, all the forks in another etc. Not for improved cleaning, but much faster unstacking. Seems common sense to me, but god forbid I mention it to anyone. Almost as telling a guy he is a bad driver or a woman that her bum does look big in that dress...

Well...............I HAD this probelm with my entire family, wife and two sons!
I made a real fuss and now it's sorted: the gits leave everything in the sink for me to load it/unload it.
The moral of this story is: be content with what you have, it COULD be worse
BTW: has no-one else noticed the beautiful rosewood-handled bronze cutlery (unless I'm very much mistaken), in the photo, going into a dishwasher ?
How to ruin the wood, let alone the bronze.

Should the spoons and other cutlery not be upright and the sharp knives pointing down? Also you don't put all the same in one compartment otherwise you end up with nesting which leads to having to wash the cutlery twice!
