spring assistors REMOVAL

spring assistors REMOVAL
Hi,
I recently brought a car that the previous owners had fitted spring assistors to. How do I remove them, just jack the car up hi and prise out. They are the assistors that the spring sits into (the proper ) ones. There is nothing wrong with the suspension so I just want to get rid of that tractor look.
