Twelve Monkeys
Im really liking this film at the moment, after watching it on 1 last sunday i purchased the dvd from Play. In my opinion its a really interesting film but as with a few films like this repeated viewing is needed to fully understand it!
The only confusing part for me is the young James Cole witnessing his own death at the end of the film. Cole was sent back to try and solve why mankind was wiped out, but is killed when aprehending the bad guy. The bad guy ends up sat on the plane with one of the panelists that we see in the future and we're led to beleive Cole was successful. Does this mean that Cole will not not go back in in time in the future and will survive??
Not important but its being bugging me!
Btw the dvd includes a doc called The Hamster Factor, and other tales of Twelve Monkeys. Which is quite interesting

He isn't successful in stopping the virus spreading, he is successful in finding the guy responsible for it.
They can't change the past but they need a sample of the virus before it mutates hence why the prisoners are asked to retrieve sample lifeforms.
The baddie is asked to open one of the cannisters whilst having his bags checked. He gets on the plane with the virus. The scientist can pinch some of the pure virus and then create an antidote.
Cracking film

So with that in mind, they would have being able resurface after the antidote was used?
Was i right in thinking because of him going back the young Cole wouldnt meet the same fate in the future??

Agree with Brendan about it being the best acting that Mr Pitt has ever done.

I love this film...wasthe first DVD I ever bought...when DVD's were relativley new!
Saw it the cinema and didn't understand the ending at first...it took me then girlfriend....who wasn't the sharpest tool in the box (but had big breasts ) to explain it to me
Made me realise that Brad Pitt can actually act.
