Default Shell profits....!

There profits have certainly gone up since I bought a scoob in October..!

Still fair play to them, at least it means there's less chance of my local PFS closing.

Now that would be an interesting figure..!

If we found out exactly how high it is maybe they'd setup a discount system for scoob owners..?

Apparently most of the profit is in the sale of crude and the refining of it for others....Shell only make about 1p per litre at the pump in pure profit....mind you, it still adds up i'm sure

The above is very true. Annoys me when all the press start ripping these companies to shreds and showing pics of petrol stations. They make more from crisps and drinks from what I can work out

I wont go into royalties, and tax upon tax before it hits the pumps...

Don't forget the money the government gets from oil companies, if it wasn't for Shell you would be paying an extra 4p in the pound in tax, let alone adding BP etc to that equation. Just food for thought!
Anyway you should be more worried about Barclays profits, just shows how much they make off Joe Public.

There was a discussion about this on the radio last night, some leftie tw@t was going on about windfall taxes & redistributing the money to the poor/workshy. Then they had a petrol station manager phone in and point out tthat since he only pays about 16p/litre to his fuel supplier, but has to sell it at 80+p shouldn't it be Gordon Brown paying the windfall tax. PMSL @ the leftie trying to answer it without revealing that he was a complete ****

It so true though that in this topsy turvy country we now live in you can't win.

If you're running a successful business (British) and making money it should be something to be proud of..! If you want to talk about robbery then you only need to look at the taxes we pay..!

It's the same with everything, this country now thinks it's not PC to be a winner..! Unless your from another country that is then you can have what you want..!
