Cool Good old Microsoft!

Apologies if this is SIAL.......

1. Go to http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx
2. In the Start section, select "Norway" from the listbox
and enter "Haugesund" into the "City" field 3. In the End section,
select "Norway" from the listbox
and enter "Trondheim" into the "City" field 4. Click on "Get
Directions"

Interestingly, inverting the cities in the request produces "less spectacular" results.

I plotted a route from Dewsbury, West Yorks to Seaford (just south of Brighton) on MS Autoroute, and the damn thing thought it would be quicker for me take a ferry over Calais, France, travel down the Normandy coast for a bit then get a ferry back from Dieppe !!

If you select the shortest route it's slightly Ironic in that you almost drive through your destination to catch a ferry to the Uk before heading back!
