Default Another Mountain Bike Question

I havent been on a bike for about 5 yrs

But want to buy one within the next week or so, and start loosing some of this weight ive piled on.

I use to own a Trek and have decided that i would like another one. What would your advice be.

The bike im looking at is the Trek 4300 Disk or Possibley the 4500 Disk

I like the look of the Blue and Silver one, am i silly for going for the above make / model I realise that i dont need the disk brakes but for an extra couple of quid im guessing it neither here or there.

Has anyone got the 4300 or 4500 is it a good bike that will do the job ?

Trek make excellent bikes as do Specialized, Giant, Orange etc, etc, the only way to tell if the bike is right for you is to test them.

I have a Specialized mountain bike because I preferred it to the equivalent trek, but a Trek road bike because I wanted to ride up hills like Lance Armstrong

Thumbs up

I ride a last years (model) Trek 6500 Disc which is an excellent bit of kit. The brakes do make alot of difference especially when everything covered in crap. Go for a Trek.

Ive been to see the 4300 and the 4500 and have decided on the 4500 but am not going for the disk upgrade.

So where is the cheapest place i can buy a Trek 4500 (2005) model ??
