Yeah, because you were born middle aged and past making errors of taste and judgement, right?

It was a fancy dress party and he went in fancy dress. Big friggin deal. May have been poor taste, may have shown a lack of judgement.

And may just show that - well blow me down - our possible future king is human after all.

SB (Not really seeing what the fuss is about - he made a mistake, he apologised if he upset anyone, end of.)

Personally, If I was Harry...I'd do the same.

But I wouldn't apologise....my formal statement would read "**** Off, you nosey bar stewards. I had no choice to be who I am, so I'll do whatever I want without any concern of the public or media's opinions.

Who are the media to judge?

And I'm an anti-royalist!

I don't think in-breeding had *anything* to do with it :

......James Hewitt.....................Harry

As a public figure and a representitive for our country (if he likes it or not) it is quite insensitive to wear a shirt that will cause offense to so many people.

As for Hewitt...spot on.

Ali-B........Too right mate, give the guy a break, he was only having a laugh, but saying that you have to take the other point of view where as A possible future King was wearing a **** arm band, would'nt go down to well would it?, personally I think the lad was only having a laugh and didn't mean to cause offence.
Cheers

I agree, although he should have used a bit of common sense!

My cousin's birthday is, rather unfortunately, on September 11th so he decided last year that he could either go on having sombre birthdays for the rest of his life or he could take the bull by the horns and get on with it...

So, we had an Arabs and Airhostesses fancy dress party

Incredibly bad taste yes, but it was in the confines of his own property and none of us are important enough to attract paparazzi attention so we got away with it!

I think Harry is just doing the same thing.... you can't begrudge him wanting to have a life, he just needs to get a bit better at getting away with it!

I don't see the problem. It was a fancy dress party FFS!!!

The PC crew jumping on the bandwagon ONCE AGAIN. Why don't they get a life and treat it as the bit of fun it intended to be.

This is NO worse than Fawlty Towers' Basel (Basle??) Fawlty doing his Hitler impressions, marching around the the hotel bellowing "don't mention the war".

I find it incredible that it's casued any debate. He's a 20yr old lad having a laugh at a fancy dress party.

Pathetic.

He'a only 20 so lets not be too hard on him.

On the other hand he has to accept the responsibility of being a member of the royal family and a representative of this country. If he doesn't want to then he shouldn't take advantage of any of the privalages that this gives him.

He can't have his cake and eat it.......(Where does that come from and why can't we have our cake and eat it? Answers on a postcard please or on this BBS)

It was a fancy dress party and as such, was a bit of fun.

I can't see any fuss and just because he is a royal doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to have a bit of fun at a party.

He should go as a Klu Klux Clan member next time, that'll really give the PC *** ends some more gossip to occupy their f$cking time.

He probably found some old gear from 60 years ago, lying in an old wardrobe at Buck Pal and thought nothing more of it - "what was good to wear for great uncle is good for me"

Harry rules he is the only Royal I have any respect for. Proper old fashioned roysterer, cad and bounder.

All we need now is some photos of him sniffing a few lines, preferably off a book with his nan's picture on it.

I thought it was quite amusing, anyone who took offence should be banned from this country since its probably them who are bring the country to a demise. saying that DID anyone take offence? or was it just the media raping it for everything it was worth.

but on the same note the royal family are from a german background eh

Harry made a bad choice in fancy dress outfit IMHO. I am suprised that no-one pointed this out to him BEFORE he left home!

We all make mistakes, i hope this is what he did and no more than that.
