I've just swallowed my crown....
Hopefully it will appear again soon, but how long before i get the missus to start searching for it?
I've just taken a dose of Andrews to speed up the process as i'm due at the dentist on tues for a check up, and it would be ideal for him to be able to refit it then.

Apart from the fact he/ she probably wont fit it there and then..
"Oooh no sir, this is only booked as a check up appointment, you'll have to book another so we can fleece you/the government a little more"..
Dont fart whilst on the bog or you might crack the pan.

I have had mine glued back in, together with the usual, "Oh, Sir, these shouldn't come out ... maybe its not so simple as just glueing it back"
YES it IS!! Forget about making a fancy job for yourself at my expense!!
"Well, I shall bung it back then, but it will fall out again"
I KNOW!!!! Thats what they DO! and I'll get it glued back in then again! Whats so difficult about THAT?!
"Really, you should have a bridge Sir"
Oh yes?? and thats cheap or expensive?
"Very expensive, Sir, I have a Porche and BMW X5 to maintain - how about it?"
Just glue the sodding thing in and charge me NHS rates!!
"Booooo, Hooooo - my children will starve now!"
What a larf, eh? Will it change when all these Albanian Dentists arrive to work for the NHS? Will all the 'Private' dentists all of a sudden start accepting NHS patients after they have told them all to clear-off??
Find a good Dentist who aren't purely driven by the vast amounts of money they can wangle and stick with them, thats my humble advice!

Well after four days of fruitless seaching i'd almost given up on seeing it again, i thought i'd be carrying a lump of porcelain and gold around in my gut forever, but tonight it made an appearance.
It's looking none the worse after its ordeal so after a soak in some bleach, i can see about getting it fitted.
So there you go, i'm sure there's a moral to this story somewhere.

I've known good and bad dentists - truth be known though, money seems to now be an important fact in their thinking, something I haven't seen so blatantly before?

"...their thinking..." Pete how many different dentists have you been to?! I know there are money orientated dentists out there (I drive a Rover 216si P reg by the way) but we are defo not all like that and certainly I wouldn't say the issue of money has become more of an issue recently. More of an issue is the lack of NHS Dentists available.
