Default Which is the best 0% credit card..and for how long is the 0%?

Hi all

The credit xcard world is a bloody minefield.....which credit card has a genuine interest free period , and which has this feature for the longest period?

What are the pitfalls?

Cheers.

Most offer 6months interest free, and you can simply transfer your balance at the end of this 6months to another card, and get another 6 months interest free and so on.

There are a couple of companies offering 9months interest free, but I cant remember which.

Just use your current card and get 0%. Its a little complicated but can save you a fortune. this is only any good if your balance is less than half your credit limit

First of all you need to sign up with a online gambling A/c like william hill and set up your account details so that deposits and withdrawals go to the credit card

When your bill come in at the end of the month for say £200 go and deposit £200 in your william hill a/c. So your actual balance on your card is £400. As your due date gets nearer deposit the £200 back from william hill to your credit card. This has the affect of you CC company thinking that you have cleared the balance that you were billed for. When the next bill comes in it is still £200 even though you didnt actually pay a penny or any intrest..:-)

Not sure if this is illegal but it meant that we got our holiday to mexico and our 10k kitchen for 0%.
Will come in handy for my car that I collect in three weeks time to. You can also deposit credit into your william hill ac and then withdraw it back to a current ac and than you can take it from your bank in cash(ie 0% cash advance's) Handy as most places give discount for cash but not for credit cards

Disclaimer - It may not work with your credit card company but it does with mine and have been doing it for 2 years now and havent paid a penny

Oh yeah, i always try and deposit the balance to will hill and then withraw it in bits so that it doesnt look sus

Not sure I understand how n16egy's system works.....

If you transfer £200 back from the wil hil a/c, you will have paid off the balance of £200 on the card right? So why would you get a bill next month for £200?

Thanks for all the replies though!

Because the £200 you transfer to the william hill ac is billed to your card just like any other transaction. On my statement it just says Online gambling

If your original balance was £200 and you followed my system every month and didnt use your card again your balance would stay at £200 and you wouldnt pay any interest
