When I was 17 I had an interview for an apprenticeship in the print trade. Sat an aptitude test and recorded their highest ever result (98.5%), passed 3 eye tests and had 1 years experience in the job at a previous employer (hence immediately more useful to them than a complete novice). Got a letter (which these days is a rareity (sp?)) which stated "Sorry, you are not of a high enough calibre"
Don't let it get you down. Someone will recognise your abilities, upto you to prove them right after that

You need to stop that attitude for a start. you are nearly twenty seven and have been self-employed. You must have experience in something to run your own business. You need to learn how to sell yourself.

Telesales doesn't usually require experience, I did that straight after leaving art college. In the sixth form I worked in ASDA stacking shelves, and M&S in their clothing department. Long time ago now but all character building stuff Good luck.

Ahhh, sales, the last-chance saloon of the academic under-achiever... the most useful experience I ever got was from selling crap out of a bag door-to-door... Now I sell financial products (gladly not door-to-door anymore). I reckon whoever said "telesales" could be onto a winner - even if it's just for a year or so you should learn some valuable sales skills.
I'm sure this goes without saying but you are making sure you come across as positive and willing to learn, aren't you?

Tell a couple of pork pies on your CV mate.... more GCSE's than you have etc etc. No-one ever checks, and hey if they do you dont get the job. Try not to make yourself as clever as Stephen Hawkings though, they might smell a rat when a bio-chemist come nuclear rocket scientist wants a job stacking shelves

if youve been disqualified your license is swiped clean. but the only time your disqualification comes up is if your up for another disqualification within 3 years, then your minimum gets extended from 6 months to 12 months. hope that helps
