On the 3rd Jan I ordered a HPI savage RC car from a website for what seemed like a bargain £320. Now I have found out yesterday that the car is not UK but a grey import and that it will have no official warrenty but will be backed by the seller himself. I have since asked for a refund as I want a uk car but the chap refuses as he has ordered th truck. It does not mention it is an import on the website.

Am I right in thinking that the goods are not as described and I am within my rights to get a refund?

I have not received anything yet.

With Web and online sales this is coverd by the "Distance Selling Regulation" advise him of the law and if you dont get anywhere get in touch with your local Trading Standards. See if they can give him a ring and this is usually enough to make em cave even tho its your right to a refund.

To be honest mate the warranties on radio controlled cars are pants anyway Basically as soon as you use it or build it its void anyway

You need to refuse in Writing within 7 days. The phone won't do.
