LPG
Whats the current status with this lovely alternative to diesel and petrol?
Is there still grants available for this?
Is the price of LPG still 40p litre?
Trying to look into "any" cost savings to be had by chosing new company vehicles running duel-fuel and working out whether we'd save money when the congestion charge goes up to £8 in the near future...

Just remember
You cannot take an LPG through 'Le Tunnel' to Francais
May cost more to insure/repair as the car/van cannot go into an oven to have paint baked on unless the tank and pipes are removed.
It is only 'cheap' in comparison whilst the government subsidise it and who knows how long that will be

I run my Audi on LPG
Converted it myself which was really quite simple. No changes to the engine, the gas is just pumped in with the air via the carb or through the injectors.
No problem if the LPG side of things conk-out as you can still run on petrol and the problem will be easy to fix as most LPG parts are cheap
I run my car on half price fuel (i.e about 350 miles on £25 LPG). No increase on insurance, car runs better, oil lasts longer and stays cleaner, no black deposits on plugs etc and no great loss of performance.
If i were you i would do it. If the price of LPG does rise other alternatives will be available - such as waste gases from industry/farming which are being looked into.

You need to check the Powershift register and if your vehicle qualifies you must apply for the grant and have the application approved before you buy the vehicle.

We are currently paying 27ppl in bulk. Locally Morrison's are selling it for 29ppl
Cheers
