Depends what time of year you're going but TO has lots to offer everyone. Its a great City with a terrific transport system and I miss it like heck.
As for places to stay........... try B+B with a real TO family, they are fantastic hosts. Don't miss a visit to the top of the CN Tower. Even in cloud its something else.

NIce city. CN tower is worth visiting. Plenty of bars and shops about. We stopped in the Metropoliten Hotel, which is a nice hotel, but I'm sure there's hotels that are closer to the hotspots.

Still prefer Vancouver though

You must to a day trip to Niagara Falls - it's absolutely breathtaking. Toronto has an excellent shopping centre, great restaurants... I love the place.
