Just finished watching the excellent 24 on DVD (all seasons) and need something else to fill my DVD player now, and was thinking of West Wing - missed it so far on TV

Was going to buy Season 1 from Play.com, assume I can believe the rave reviews of this drama?

Any fans out there?

I'm a huge fan.

I don't usually like American dramas, but this is class. I must warn you though that at first it might feel a little OTT, but it grows on you and I won't miss it. West Wing and Top Gear are the only two programs I *have* to watch on TV (except when 24 was on).

Superb series, but can be very hard to follow. Don't worry if you don't understand everything that's going on: they make no attempt to explain the politics. Which I like, because it's so rare to see an script intended for adults with brains.

yes, seen all of Alias - good, but not a patch on 24 (more in the realms of dark angel)

West Wing is class, obviously has the odd poorer episode but not many.
The end of the first episode is brilliant.

I know it's only a drama but try watching a couple of episodes and then listening to President G W Bush, no wonder there was a campaign to get Martin Sheen/Jed Bartlett elected president..!

West Wing is prolly the best show on TV IMHO, has started to go down in standards recently but still nothing to touch it.

yep have to agree. bought the first box set cheap in sainsburys and ended up buying the next 3 box sets the next week. compulsive viewing all right

Used to like West Wing a lot but this last series just doesnt seem to hit the mark

west wing has jumped the shark with the kidnapping. Still good but not what it was.

they should dig deep and get rob lowe back on board.

even the guest stars have dried up!
