R/C Car advise please :)
My Mrs got me an RC car for christmas and the need for speed has already got me and i'm in the market for modding
If I change the gear set from 10.4:1 to 8.67:1 what benefit will i get? i.e will i get a better top end or faster acceleration?
Not sure on all this gearing thing

Reducing the gear ratio (using a larger pinion gear) will increase your top speed, but reduce acceleration. If it's electric it will also reduce your run time.
What did you get?

Smaller pinion will increase acceleration as will bigger spur gear.
Bigger pinion will increase top end as will smaller spur gear.
What out on gearing though as you can end up damaging motors etc due to overheating.
Not totally true DMC, you can get longer run time if you know how to drive it properly
