Whos bought a XBOX or PS2 and never play on it?
Iv spent £110 on xbox
£30 for controller
£40 for chip
£50 on games
£??? another controller and gun
but never play on it. Who else is the same?
Think of selling it cuz I had/have a SNES and now its worth poo and I think my xbox is heading the same way in a few years since I never play on it.

It depends what you mean by "play".
I bought an X-Box and found that my interest in games was disapearing. BUT I then discovered you could play DivX movies and it's used all the time now.

I got an Xbox last year, used it say three/four times, then forgot about it.
Although, I do admit, I use my PS2 much more - even if it is just to play DVD's on now and again, and perhaps a little PES 4 and GTA:SA.

Never use my old PS1, so I don't see much point in upgrading to a 2 or X Box. Although some of the new games advertised on telly look very tempting, but Final Fantasy did too, and that was boring to play

Well, I was unsure about buying an XBOX last christmas. My last games console (PS1) was left to sit there and hardly used. Would my new shiney XBOX sit there in exactly the same way?? NO, I'm really suprised that after nearly 12 months, the poor 'BOX still gets a real hammering at LEAST 1 night a week, usually more. As other people have said though, once it's modded, and available as a full on media centre, the uses for it are endless! (yes, even works as a doorstop!).

Never ever use mine. Only keep it because my 5 yr old will want something to play on as he gets older.
You can't beat a decent PC for gaming, especially online. I mean, what's the thrill of playing against 7 other players? Give me 63 other players to kill any day of the week!

I have both consoles, at the minute only have 1 game for the PS2 and no games for the xbox...lol so obviously I dont play on it..... PS2 doesnt get used that much either though, I made the mistake of being 1 of the first people to own a PS2 in the country when they came out and it was great, then sold it a year later when I lost interest, another year later I wanted one so I aint getting rid ever again cause knowing my luck Id want 1 again

btw, boxst, plays Divx movies? is your box unchipped? this sounds interesting. thought they had to be chipped and have the codecs downloaded?

my ps2 is under wraps, since the arrival a while ago of my Xbox and executer 2 chip.
72 games later, i'm still not bored with it!!!
and my 3 yr old boy can slaughter me on Wrestling Legends!!! - the little git!

I got it chipped (and installed an 80gb hard drive).

Me & hubby bought an Xbox early this year and it's took a right old thrashing all year! First there was Midtown Madness, Gotham Racing and Halo - now there's Halo 2, Fusion Frenzy and Medway Arcade Classics!
Gets lots more use in the winter - nothing like a wet rainy sunday, a big bag of toffee popcorn and shooting the cr@p outta some aliens!

My Xbox is two years old now, I didn’t get it chipped for about 12 months so after a few weeks got bored of it so it ended up getting stuffed in the back of the cupboard. But a mate of mine who I hadn't seen in a while started up chipping Xbox’s and did mine as a favour, he only charged me 15quid for an executer 2 and fitting. Then after a few weeks I shoved a 120Gb hard drive in there and put Avalaunch on it. So you can imagine with the aid of 1meg broadband I ended up with quite a collection of games, I’ve nearly filled that 120Gb hard drive think I might look into buying a 300Gb monster. So for the past year I haven’t put it down, every time I start to bore of a games there’s always another new one there for me to start on.

Got an Xbox about a year or so ago, one of the best purchases I've made. Great system, some superb games and keeps me entertained when I'm not in the Scooby.

Yes Tim, and it's your fault I got the black 'box bug, it's like an illness, especially with a little modification and a 120gig HD. mmmmmmm..... it's because of you I spend hours in front of the TV, the mrs moaning she wants to watch TV, I blame Tim and send her upstairs, while I bash another alien, or try to crack another couple of challenges on Burnout 3. God bless the XBOX. Saves me money too, my trips to the pub have more than halved!
