Going to ask the neighbours in for a quick drink before Christmas as they have been really helpful to us this year. They go off to the Caribbean and the old boy tells me his favourite tipple is a local rum cocktail. So I thought I would try and get some in. Would this be Planter's Punch? If so is this just in a bottle or do I need to get some dark rum and mix it with something? Coke? PS. He had a mild heart scare recently so nothing too hairy please

This reciope serves one

10-12 cracked ice cubes,
dash of grenadine,
2 measures white rum (bacardi etc)
2 measures dark rum (navy etc)
1 measure lemon juice,
1 measure lime juice, (use fresh lemons/limes if poss)
1 tsp sugar syrup,
1/4 tsp triple sec (cointreau)
sparkling mineral water to top up.

Decorate with slices of lemon, lime pineapple, and a cocktail cherry.

Put 4-6 cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Dash grenadine over ice, pour in rums, juices, syrup and triple sec, shake until frost forms.
Half fill tall glass with cracked ice, strian cocktail over them, top up and decorate.
