Thumbs up Conspiracy Theories

Anyone know any good ones? Hopefully this thread won't turn into another 9/11 or Princess Di fest - they've been covered enough.

Saw a programme on Sky over the weekend on a theory concerning the Titanic - I'd never heard of this one before so it was pretty interesting - basically, the theory suggests that it's not the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic, but it's knackered sister ship the Olympic which was scuttled as part of an insurance scam.

Program was pretty good - went through all the facts to disprove the known history, then pretty much proved that was the Titanic that sunk

What other belters are there? and can someone suggest some good books that cover some other good ones?

Not really, they claim there wasn't much blood for him to have died from cutting his wrists. The coronor said he had heart disease and various other illness and the "shock" of cutting his wrists caused a heart attack very quickly after the initial act. Once the heart stops beating blood doesn't "jet" out of the arteries any more as it isn't being pumped and so there wouldn't be much blood loss.

I have a lot of respect for paramedics and their ability to save your life if they get there in time, it doesn't mean they are even remotely qualified however, to pass an opinion on the cause of death.

Read the Observer article last weekend. Don't think anyone mentioned that particular detail abpout his heart. Changes everything. Got to question the reasoning behind the article a little.
