Post your conspiracy theories here
#1
Following on from 'Is this BBS monitored thread' I thought I would post a couple of my conspiracy theories.
IM wanted to increase the revenue generated by the new car, you get a much bigger margin on dealer add ons so it made the new car so ugly that everyone would have to fork out for morrettes, new spoilers, bodykits etc etc.
[xfiles mode on]
The foot and mouth crisis.
Question: Which is the only part of the country to stand up to the government in the last 4 years.
Answer: The farmers/hauliers.
Result: Mismanage the foot and mouth crises so it cripples the farmers and hauliers and so they can't cause anymore trouble until well into this parliment/after the election.
Question: Which is the best way to increase control over a democratic population.
Answer: Destroy the transport infrastructure so it is very difficult to travel, a mobile population is more difficult to keep tabs on and limited movement means control.
Do it slowly, using crime prevention as a pretext for bringing in all kinds of measures. For example.
No automatic right to trial by jury
No automatic right to see CCTV footage, even if you are being bought to trial based on it(it's got rid of after a month y'see)
The gradual switch around to guilty until proven innocent. Speed cameras work on this pretext. BUT the house of lords recently said that, that's OK as long as it's crime related. This can/will be expanded into other areas.
So in theory, an innocent person can be sent to jail, if they look like a someone on CCTV. They have no automatic right to see the evidence against them, have no right to jury trial and, they are presumed gulity to start off with
Another example, The massive crack down on stuff deemed by those in power as 'offensive'. I DO NOT agree with the likes of the BNP etc etc. BUT they DO have a right to say it.
The recent witch hunt against so called racists is more proof that slowly, bit by bit we are loosing are freedom of expression. The Brass Eye program, even if in bad taste should not have been banned. I have a right to decide what's good and bad taste. NOT the government.
Don't even get me started on bildeberg etc

I'm not really parnoid, honest.. Who was that!!

I'm afraid that I limit my thinking to more down to earth questions like...
1. Why does pubic hair stop growing?
2. How do snow plough drivers get to work?
Anyway, as with all theories, it's safe to say 'The Butler did it'.

I thought Straw tried to introduce this but it was thrown out by the Lords?
