Babyliss seems OK. My other half is happy enough with the ones my Mum bought her for her birthday. Seems the key thing is that they are ceramic. Think these came from Boots.

Mind you Philips are doing a pack thing with heater and various attachments including straightners for about £20 in Boots.

Yeh don't get Babyliss, my gf tried them and didn't like them, she also favoured GHD. Though maybe it's got something to do with the fact they're more expensive

This is the present of the year, what every girl wants.

The answer conclusively is GHD and nothing else.

Cheap straighteners are a false economy - dont do it!
Anything by Babyliss or Remington will be sh1te.

It has to be either GHDs or Morphy Richards 22020 (By Mark Hill)- both sets are around £85 and you can get them from Argos or John Lewis.

I got my missus the morphy richards ones last xmas and she loved/loves them.

erm
i erm *may* use GHDs, and erm *may* be able to recommend them..... but being a bloke i would never admit to straightening my hair on here

Get them from ebay for a lot lot less than you will pay in a salon

You can get other makes (babyliss etc) for a lot less- that work just as well, but every bird wants GHDs as they are 'cool' ones to get at the mo

Watchdog - surely you mean "Expert-scaremongers-and-purveyors-of-getting-the-masses-worked-up-over-nothing-dog"

Seriously how many exploding Peugeot 406's do you see popping down the high street?

Your missus will be disappointed with anything less.

another vote for the GHD from here too. misses got some last christmas I think after her sisters got them too, she says they're great but there always left lying about because they are so hot and she does her hair last. so when her hairs done they get left on the floor to cool down whilst we go out women eh.

saying that though, any straighteners that are ceramic and have temperatures of around 200degrees will do just as good job
