Old for new house insurance. A quick question
Hi peeps,
My Tosh lappy died and is beyond repair according to the repair shop. This is covered under house and contents.
Now the options for replacements they have given me arent great. Basically a 1K laptop. Now I have seen some super ones for an extra £100. Can I pay extra and upgrade to a better one or do I have to take what im offered ?
Cheers

The insurance company will no doubt have a great deal with some suppliers that will give them huge discounts. It has to be worth saying to them that you don't want the replacement that they've offered - here's the spec that you'd like - how much do they want you to contribute to get that as a replacement (bearing in mind that you know how much the one that you want actually costs).
Basically, it's no big deal to them whether they supply you with the crappy replacement or you pay a bit more to have what you want.
