Right i know this one as i have every single version of this tune- and was playing every version out months and months before it was popular or even officially released.
The original white version of this is Dj Falcon & Thomas bangalter- 'call on me'.
The later and subsequently released as a single version is The 'Eric Prydz vs retarded funk calling mix'. This existed with original uncleared samples, until it was rerecorded and cheesed up for the official release.
Between these two was another version By Red Kult- called (no prizes here...) ... 'call on me'
This samples the original Stevie Winwood track and Has the 'Everybody Everybody' samples you are on about. This sample is from an old black box tune
It is this version you have heard- and it is indeed a good mix. It is not a seperate tune mixed in with it, it is an actual pressed up version.
It was 12" only and deleted months ago, and awkward to find. 15 quid a time on ebay currently.
If you want it i can record it from my copy and mail it to you. Drop me a Pm and i will send it tomorrow. Not doing anything immoral/illegal- it was a bootleg in the first place and never officially released!

I may be going off course here but I have a suspicion that Black Box 'Ride on time' used samples from other even earlier records.
Can anyone help out?

Ride On Time sampled Loleatta Holloway's 'Love Sensation' (written by Dan Hartman) from 1980.
the bird in the video/PA for black box wasnt in fact loleatta holloway, it was a french model Katrin Quniol hired to act as a frontwoman because of her good looks
Fascinating fact- loleatta sued black box's *** for not clearing the samples, and even though it was a massive massive hit, they didnt actually make much cash as loleatta won the case
The same samples were later used on Cebin Fishers ' Got me burnin' up' and a track by marky mark & the funky bunch called ( IIRC) 'good vibration'. they got sample clearance so they werent sued
God i am a super trainspotter....... chooo chooooooo

As an aside, my favourite sampled tune at the moment is 'Sliced Tomatoes' by the Just Brothers.... (I think!)
