Exclamation 8 Parents of the Bride & Groom

One of the Girls in the Office got Married the Other Week and there were 8 Parents of the Bride & Groom at the wedding. The "direct" Parents of the Bride & Groom had all re-married and all attended the Wedding with their new spouses.

How common is this nowadays ??

A bloke in the office had the same earlier this year - he was one of the new partners, apparently the place settings were a nightmare (hardly surprising)

My step brother got married this year, same thing. Funniest thing was the wedding invitation, Mr & Mrs BLah blah x8, more common then you'd thing. My step sister got married two years ago, she had two Dads give her away! Sign of the times.

No fights at either party.

I'm getting married soon

have

Mum + Pete
Dad + Sandy
Mary(wife no.2 for Dad) + Robin(new bloke)
Dad + Mum for bride

Mum + Mary = Bad
Pete + Dad = Bad
Sandy + Mary = Bad
Dad + Robin = V.BAD
Mum + Mum 2 = friction
Mum + Bride = occasional friction

I'm going to get plasterd and disown the problem starters if anything kicks off

I would suggest doing what we did - my wife to be's parents were just divorced, so the invites came from us.
"Lisa and Kieran would like to invite you to celebrate their Wedding..."

In fact we paid for and organised everything so we dictated who went where
