Default can you uotbid yourself on ebay?

say you bid 250 for an item on the last day and your the winner, then as the end nears you realise you're prepared to pay 350,can you outbid yourself and what would the bid go up to.

(The reason you do this is cos you dont want to get outbid in the last minute and have password problems etc in the dying seconds in a last minute dash. Also dont want any bidsniper programs)

no, its that max bid your prepared to go up to if someone out bids you.

say you bid £250, then another bid of £350 (to make sure)

someone else bids £275 the next lowest bid eg £300 would be placed by ebay for you.

if they then bid taking it up to £375 then you would be out bid totally.

hope that makes sence lol

It is possible that your personal bid might increase by the next margin Paul, I am not certain, if you do it please let us know how it goes.

Or the other alternative - you read the title - tut,tut to yourself about it being yet another ebay question - decide to ignore it and then go and take your PMT out on someone else.

It's a shame this sort of thing still seems to be around on Scoobynet, makes the place all the worst for it
