No santa's grotto's this year!!!!
Whats with all this PC crap about santa's grotto being offensive to religions that don't celebrate christmas,how pathetic is this country going to get??
I bet anyone thats finds christmas offensive is happy to have the days off work for it and help themselves to all the goodies at christmas parties etc....

If non-Christmas celebrating people are offended by this predominantly christian country celebrating Christmas, then I respectfully suggest they remove themselves to a country that doesn't celebrate it. I wouldn't move to a muslim country and complain about ramadan (not blaming muslims, just using that religion as an example)

I think you will find that most dont care, i personally dont get offended, i think its actually quite good. The only thing i hold a grudge against is that it is getttin rather commercial, and the true meaning is getting lost.

I would just love to get every person who complained and have PC views that Santa, crimbo etc offended other religions and eject them from this country, preferably to a certain hostile country.
Personally, I see it the same as the ****'s persecuting the Jews.
This is a tradition, an age old one. We're expected to "accept" other religions traditions and celebrations, that came to our contry and made it the "multi-cultural" society that it is often so called these day.
Yet they refuse to accept and ban the traditions that the idiginous cultures take part in.
Why do we let people get away with this?
It's a pity that all the comunity spirit and standing for principals and opinions is completely lost in this country. All we do is moan on a BBS, or over a pub table. It will just keep getting worse - this is a tip of an iceburg people, mark my words.
If this was any other country - we would have had demonstrations, strikes, even riots. But here we just moan and put up with it. It makes me sick to be Britsh.
This country is dead on it's feet!

I think you are missing the point here,its not us complaining about it. Its the Governemnt thinking they are protecting us from something, which we dont fear in the first place. Comments like "Yet they refuse to accept" are misplaced, I have never heard of a single person complaining about Christmas.

I can't honestly see anyone complaining from my end of the spectrum, talking from a Sikh perspective. I cant see most Hindu's complaining, as they are taught understanding. Jews would not mind as Jesus, afterall was a Jew. That just leaves you know who.

My other half has just come home after shopping in a small Co-op supermarket. Whilst he was in there they were playing Xmas carols.
The guy in front of him at the check-out till had this following conversation with the check-out girl.. [you will see why I refer to the guy as MB ;]
MB: 'Can you tell me why you are playing Xmas carols in November?'
Girl: 'No sorry, I don't put them on'
MB: 'Is there someone I can complain to?'
Girl: 'Not at the moment sir, but we do have a Complaints Book over there'
MB didn't even thank the girl for the info and went straight over to where the Complaints Book was.
My other half Andy, who possesses a warped sense of humour (at times), went to the Complaints Book after to see what MB had written.
MB had written his name, nature of complaint ie. do we have to listen to carols in November and left his tel. no.
As it so happened Andy had a Tippex pen on him and he duly tippexed out MB's name and wrote in its place....

When do you hear Chinese people, Hindu's etc moaning on about this sort of stuff? Ok theres less of them in the country, but they seem to get on with their own stuff without affecting other people and thats how it should be.
As for banning Santa's grotto, FFS
- just make sure you dont spend any money in those malls to make a point.
