if you was banned from driving last year (totting up 12 pts)
and get done again twice the following year,
how long will this ban be?
and do you need to resit the test?

ps passed test in '95

Obviously no one wants to touch this..... so here goes...

If I was banned from driving then I would usually collect no points for that.... then, if I "was done" again the second year twice, then it would depend upon the extent to which I "was done" the second year. For example, "was done" could be 3 points SP30 speeding, so from a clean licence you could be banned with no points the first year and then get done twice for speeding at 3 points each and end up with 6 points the second year with no ban.

ok, if the ban was from totting points we need to know how long each of the original 12 points are valid for. If they are over 3 yrs they don't count!

If you lost your licence under the totting up thingy, then those points don't count when you get it back again. So as far as I see it you'll have 6 points for the latest offences.

its always at the wrong time at the wrong place

the truvello i was talking and completely missed it,

the specs was overtaking (dual carriageway ) uphill with 200 yard b4 the dual cw becomes one lane (snake pass)

the 1st 3 points was doing 33 overtaking a bus (2 lanes) needs to get back to uphill my lane got done by a mobile cam motram moor
2nd doing 38 by a green gatso hidden behind a tree (DOWNHILL)
at motram moor again
3rd my fault i know

am i the only one that thinks speed cameras are always at downhill roads

I have been done for that kinda speeding (38 in 30) and now I follow it as a gospel not to exceed 30mph limit.I slow right down whether mobile cam is around or not.I do get taken over by some muppets or they would tailgate me but I dont care at all.Its better to keep to the rule in built up areas than collecting points man.Insurance becomes such a killer after these points and bans.
Road Angel or snooper will help you too if you are driving high powered car.

The depressing thing is that people now spend so much time looking at their speedo's they dont actually look at the road!

What realy pixxes me off over this is, if your a Footballer and u get done, you lose your licence for 3 months Max. Fred bloggs the public get a ban for 12 months. I know someone who,s a footballer , think he plays for Sheffield and drives a porker (idiot in it) he got done 4 times in one day by 4 differnt forces.

What did he get 1 Month Ban .FFS.

Not true. A footballer in our area got banned for six months recently, the same as anyone would have. And anyone is entitiled to raise an "exceptional hardship" argument for not getting banned. For example, if it would result in losing your job.

Thumbs up

Might be worth u investing in a Road Angel 2 my friend, could save u in the future, i recently went to Coventry don't know the area well so wasn't *speeding* much but also wasn't watching my speedo as i was trying to findmy way well my RA went berserk 3 times flasing and shouting at me, so there's 9 points less on my licence and im £180 better off

Well done Blackspot
