Nokia 6230 - removing network txt
Hi,
Got a piccy on the backdrop of my Nokia 6230. Its being obscured by the '02-UK' text. Does anyone know how to remove this text? Checked all the menus endlessly to no avail.
Comments appreciated.

Use your phone to go to this wap site http://mrzippy.org.uk/funkyfone/blank.nol
It will automatically send you a blank operator logo. Worked for me (and my mate), usual disclaimers apply!

I can't seem to find it anymore. maybe they've removed it.
I know you also remove the logo if you infrared to your phone via a laptop with the Nokia Data suite installed.
Sounds like a lot of hassle though.
I'll keep looking though

I only have one question : where is the file saved on the phone as I had already downloaded a blank.nol and stuck it in multiple locations to no avail. Can't find where its stuck the downloaded one.

Get yourself a smart card reader and put them direct onto the MMC card. People have had varying degrees of success via bluetooth and IR but it seems to be a bit flakey.

-->settings
-->display settings
-->Operator Logo
When this is selected to 'ON' the blank logo will show, when it is 'OFF' the normal network operator logo will show

Nick
my methods of transfering tunes to the phone are as follows:
Prerequisites: Install latest version of Nokia phone suite (6.2.16); and get yourself a bluetooth dongle. The version of Nokia suite that comes on CD with the phone is a duffer.
a) using bluetooth. My dongle is made by MSI. Not had any issues what so ever. Runs like a peach with windows XP SP2.
b) I also use the Infra Red connection on my Laptop.
Tunes : I make them myself. Theme from Laurel & Hardy or Some Mothers do av'em are great ones.
hope this helps.
