Angry Ebay Scam again!

Just want to know where I stand with this one. I have been trying to sell my car on ebay and woke up this morning (11.23am here) to find that my car was sold for the reserve price. Good news then, right?
Well, I have not got in contact with the buyer yet but found this email in my account.

Hi,
Thanks for the mail I am indeed happy to hear from you
and wish to let you know also that the price of £1600
okay by me as for the payment and shipping you have
nothing to worry about.I have spoken to my shipping
agent who will be comming for the pickup in your
end. There is a client of mine in th UK who is owing
me some funds about £4500 I have spoken to your and
he has agreed that he will issue the cheque in your
name and when it clears in your bank you deduct the
cost of the 1998 Peugeot 306 L Diesel and then get
the remaining balance sent to my shipper via
westernunion money transfer. If this is okay by you I
want you to kindly get back to me asap with your full
name, contact address and phone number both home and
mobile so that I can forward your contact details to
my client who will issue the check.Your understanding
will
be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Jessy.

I WILL PATIENTLY WAIT FOR THE CHECK TO CLEAR BEFORE MY
SHIPPER COMES FOR THE PICKUP.

Right. Is this sale not binding????? This is a scam but because of this f**ker I have not sold my car. What do I do about it? Really want a sale because trying to sell a car when you are 3000 miles away from it is not easy.
Thanks for the help.

Thought so but do they not have to honour the sale? Pi55ed off because they bid the reserve which I think prevented others bidding.

You just have to get used to it. I have auctions ruined all the time. Ensure the next time that you clearly state no sales outside the UK, no shipping etc.

I saw something like above, almost to the word on another site, if you ever get an email through ebay that seems to have been translated to english (very poorly) you just know its gonna be a scam...

Get in touch with e-bay by all means but do not expect a positive or constructive response.

I'm alright for transport, ta.

Don't let it get ya down, these things happen. What about trying a 3 day auction and also emailing everyone that had bid on your previous sale to let them know?

I have informed ebay but by the time i did it he was no longer a member. On the plus side my dad sold the car for me today so you have all missed out on the rare oppotunity to feel 70hp under your right foot.
