People of Holland seriously angry
You have to do quite a lot to upset the most liberal people on the planet. Today somebody did....
This morning Theo van Gogh, a Dutch film director was murdered in the street in Amsterdam by an Islamic extremist. The 26 year old attacker attacker shot him and stabbed him, leaving his victim and a letter impaled on the knife.

Van Gogh, 47, had received death threats after his film Submission was shown on Dutch TV.
It portrayed violence against women in Islamic societies.
The film was made with liberal Dutch politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somali refugee who fled an arranged marriage.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been under police protection since the film was aired. She has also received death threats and has renounced the Islamic faith.
In all fairness the guy was a little outspoken and had been quoted as referring to the subjects of his recent film as 'goat fuc kers'. In this case he may well have been right.

I was watching BBC World in Australia and there was a section on Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
She seemed very outspoken about the topic of Islam, but it was only her opinion from her own insular world, but she was prepared to make sweeping statements about Islam!
From the interview, it looked like she was trying to get as many backs up as possible. After the interview, it left me feeling no sympathy for her plight or her situation, in fact it made me think she was a bit of an attention seeker, so she achieved everything she wanted!!
