Stan Collymore gets nose broken.
Oh my bleating heart By a Bath Rugby Player Stan complained to the police
Here's the story
Collymore alleges rugby assault.
Ex-football player Stan Collymore has alleged he was assaulted in a clash involving Bath rugby club players.
The former England and Liverpool star claims he was attacked by a group in Dublin city centre on Sunday after an exchange of words in a nightclub.
It is understood Collymore, who lives in Staffordshire, may have suffered a broken nose in the incident.
Bath lost to Leinster in a Heineken Cup match at Lansdowne Road in the Irish capital on Saturday.
It is understood Collymore had an exchange of words with a group including some of the club's players in exclusive nightclub Lillie's Bordello, just off Grafton Street.
The footballer is believed to have later clashed with the group after meeting them by chance at a fast food outlet.
A Garda spokesman confirmed officers were investigating an incident in Grafton Street at 0330 GMT on Sunday.
"A man was treated at St James's Hospital for facial injuries after the incident," he said.
The spokesman said the man had made a complaint to officers at Pearse Street station in the city.
No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Collymore was in Ireland to appear on a TV show with Irish premier Bertie Ahern's novelist daughter Cecilia.
Bath rugby club has not made a comment on the matter.
A statement issued by the club on Monday morning read: "We will not be releasing a statement until we have sat down and considered all the facts available to us."

Well done Bath Rugby players - they obviously considered his history of hitting women, and decided he deserved a slap - a broken nose is the least he should have suffered IMHO.

Love the comments on Sky News...
"I told them I would take any one of them on one-on-one outside, but they suddenly all piled in," he said.
"The minute I saw this one guy coming at me I knew I was really in trouble. He was like the Jolly Green Giant.
"They kicked me all over the street. I went to the ground at one point, but I managed to get up again."
What an ****......

Im no expert, but I have seen many a broken nose.
His nose dont look broke to me..
I think any group who mobs a man alone, are sh1thouses, why didnt they just go one on one ?
If I was part of this mob of rugby players I would be embarrased, there is not enough damage to Collymore to lay claim to.
If your going to do it, do it properly.

Agree with YOZA, all of them odd shaped ball loving p#ssy's.
Whilst i dont like Collywobbles, 6 on 1 isnt good and if thats all they did to him he got off lightly,i bet Ulrika looked worse than that.

Why is it that Collymore is villified for beating up Ulrika on one (documented) occasion while Paul Gascoigne (G8 or whatever) is still feted whatever he does despite openly admitting that he regularly beat his wife???
Don't get me wrong, both should be banged up for it but there does seem to be a lot of double standards on this issue.
