n/s front went down 2 huge consecutive potholes about 18" apart - yes I know I should have seen them, but I try to keep my eyes closed when driving as I scare easily - result is a pear shaped rim (max speed 20mph ). Phoned TN to find out if they had a replacement in stock - of course they had. What time did they close - 5.45. It was 4.15 and I'm in Bury St Edmunds (somebody has to live there) which is 1.5 hours away on a good trip. Mark said straight away I'll stay on !! Then I thought it out - low speed on space saver + rush hour traffic - no way I'd be there in a reasonable time. Rang back to cancel - Mark said he'd see if he could get it couriered (getting late). Rang back in a few minutes - sorted - should arrive at my local tyre fitters Wed.
Great service or what ? (again). Cheers Mark.
Stan.

Tyres Northampton are indeed a top set of dudes...they are immune to feeling cold in their hands...I reckon they could work thru a nuclear winter

Hi Ian
No worries - hope it may be possible next time ?? Got a bit cold and decided to head home so as not to be late for when her indoors got home (trying to keep on her good side so I can get another box for the car).
IanS - check your e-mail !
The bad news (after getting the rim delivered at 9.00am today - only ordered it 5.30pm yesterday from TN !! - I found the N/S rear rim also buggered. Expensive ride home.

Hi Stan
I did the same to one of my P1 rims, the pothole being left by North West Water.
I made a complaint to the appropriate "Highways" department, who took on the case and I ended up with a new rim and tyre.
Its worth taking a photo if poss of the offending hole.
Hope this helps

Took photos Wed a.m. with 30cm rule in shot for scale. Good job as tonight (Thur) holes repaired !!!
Will try for the 2 rims + tracking.
(Still trying to sort a boost gauge so I can refit the warp drive)
Cheers

Hi Stan,
I'm off to TN this Saturday to have EBC discs and greenstuff pads fitted. If you want, I could pick up your wheel and meet you at The Plough in Fen Ditton this weekend.
IanG,
I've just about decided on a route for the promised weekend run. When's a good date for you to come down.
