Snooper S6 GPS Detector....recommended?
Thinking of getting one of these as a new toy, wondered if anyone has any experience with this model, would they recommend it, good and bad points etc.
Thanks in advance for any info

I have the Snooper S6-R and it's ok, but certainly not the best on the market. The GPS works fine, and you can plug it straight into a phone socket to download the latest database (built in modem) and add your own reference points.
It will also alert you to the location of mobile scamera vans, but only their geographical location and not if they're actually there or not.
The laser & radar detector however are completely useless. I have never really used the radar detector part as there's just too many false alarms. The laser detector is also subject to false alarms and in my 2 years using it has only successfully detected my being targeted once (despite being set up dead level underneath my number plate).
I would recommend you look at the Road Angel, Origin B2 and Geodesy units in preference to the Snooper.
