Default nitro car pull start problem

have just had my car running, now the pull start seems jammed, I don't want to pull it too hard just in case the obvious happens. Is there another way of freeing it ??

Cheers

can you turn the engine over by hand using the flywheel?

not sure what you mean by the flywheel. Would it be the big silver wheel, if so no it only moves a little bit, the bounces back to where it was, it onlymoves a few mm.

Thanks for your help, I know it's no help when I dunno what I'm talking about and you can't see it, cheers sfor trying anyhow.

ok
take out the glow plug(thing that the electric starter clips onto
at the other end of the engine to tthe pullstart is a black(usually) thing-this is the clutch bell
next to this there will be as you say a silver wheel but it wont turn far with the plug in
take out the plug and retry turning the flywheel

The pull start may have unwound (sp?) in its housing, unscrew the housing and take it off the side of the engine, and rewind the spring, it takes bloody ages as it dead hard to do.
