Thats nothing
Another one the same but BIGGER, fASTER etc is already being built in the USA....
....and in 2006 one the sameish but even BIGGER and FASTER (0-125mph in less than 3 seconds from Hydraulic launch) is being built at BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH Its gonna go out to sea on a jetty/pier where it will do the big high loop before coming back inshore again
Next year a Hydro (or maybe LIM) launch coaster is opening at Alton towers. Should be 0-60 in 3 seconds from launch.....

Ohio you say? Just looked up the address, I'm about a six hour drive from the place. Hmmm, might be up for some of that come the spring.
Seriously speaking, if anyone is thinking of going, give me a shout as I'll come along for some fun.

Very fast straighline acceleration is what sends your stomach to your mouth...I was in disneyland this weekend and went on the rock and rollercoaster - went from 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds and made me tingle like no tomorrow...must be the same sorta feeling you get in a very fast car? i suppose the anticipation makes it more 'exciting'!

Best one i've been on lately was "Speed the ride" in Vegas, didnt realise it was a LIM launch (half inside building/fake track at rear of station going outside) and sitting there waiting to slowly go out the station to a lift hill (no queue, just walked on!) but then suddenly being shot forward to 60mph in 3 or so secs was quite a shock

I visited Cedar Point about 15 years ago (just after the iron dragon had opened) and it blew me away then! This just looks awesome - I think a return visit is long overdue

very very fast car - or average bike
rockinrollercoaster is the only thing that compares to nailing a fast start on a big bike. Had to have about 14 goes on it last year

BTW, did you see the one with the outrigged cars that rotated whilst on the move on the same programme

lol, blackpools big one hasnt held any record for years, its height records were broken about a month after it was first built!
Two years though and Blackpool will once again have the tallest fastest coaster in the world Gonna cost £25million, the old guy who owned the pleasure beach died last month and left it in his will to get it build

Some rides remind me of the time I rolled my Mk1 Cortina - years ago and ended up on the roof right outside the house I used to live in a couple of years before as a lad with the parents. First guy to look in the car and see me dangling upside down was a neighbour - don't know who was more surprised :-)

PMSL @ the Cortina Only been in a rolled car once, but that was as a navigator in a GSi Astra rally car, the adrenalin was pumping to much to be scared
